ECOMMERCE WEBSITE DESIGN
Our core expertise is designing and developing custom ecommerce websites, and we work exclusively on the BigCommerce platform - although historically a SaaS platform for small-to-medium sized businesses (SMEs/SMBs), BigCommerce is now leading the way as the platform of choice for mid-market and enterprise businesses turning over £1m plus per year.
STEP 2 - WIREFRAMING
After conducting in-depth research, we put together wireframes for all the templates we will be designing and developing, and present this in a comprehensive report.
Wireframes are in essence skeletal drawings of the page layouts, and are used as a foundation when designing the concepts.
STEP 1 - The brief
No successful project can start without us knowing our client, their industry, what they want and need, and who their competition is.
At this stage we work with our clients to complete the design brief and start understanding the project scope.
STEP 4 - DEVELOPMENT
This is where the site starts to take shape. Working on a sandbox site, our developers code the design into the website you see in the browser.
We design all websites to be responsive, meaning they will render and display correctly on any device - desktop, tablet and smartphone.
STEP 3 - CONCEPT DESIGN
Once the wireframes have been signed off, our designer starts working on the look and feel of the website. The first design to be completed is the homepage, as this forms the basis of the additional templates.
As soon as the home page design has been agreed and signed-off, we start working on the other templates such as category pages, product pages, checkout, blog, etc.
STEP 6 - DE-BUGGING & QA
Once the site is complete, de-bugging and testing is undertaken to eliminate any issues and errors such as cross-browser testing and external software and app integration. When the site has passed de-bugging and QA, we sign-off and hand-over the website.
